BusinessWeek magazine:August 23-30, 2004 www.businessweek.com had an interesting article about the Executive Life and Meditation. They state what many have known for a very long time that meditation changes the brain to alleviate stress. Their article stated that CEO's who meditate find they are more effective. In our very fast data driven world, we really must take out some time to do the following types of meditation:  'Mindfulness Meditation' with focus on the breathing; 'Insight Meditation' which follows the sensations in the body and allows noticing of what's happening; 'Zen Koan Meditation' which allows pondering and detachment from everyday toughts; 'Centering Prayer' repeating a favored word such as love or Sanskrit mantara 'om' silently or aloud to quiet other thoughts.
